Device is a band formed by the lead singer of the band Disturbed after Disturbed went on hiatus.

I love this album. The first time I heard it, I was mesmerized by the articulate rhythm and the creative (and profane) vocals. The lead singer of this band is simply magnificent, and is pretty much made to sing for this band.

"Close My Eyes Forever" is an amazing song showing off Device's sweeter side, while you can gear up for "Vilify" where everything becomes heavy and loud and just as enjoyable. Lzzy Hale's voice, we all know, is amazing beyond belief, and Device took on the challenge of melding with it and mastered it like I simply can't believe.

"Out of Line" is about dictators who cross the line and do things that are horrible; using dogma to justify their terrible acts and when they get what they say is right, it's all really destruction. It is an anti-dictator song, as I've heard it described. A great part of this song is that Serj Tankian is singing, and Serj is "fantabulous" so this song was bound to be fantastic, and it was!
I really enjoy the line from "Hunted": "And now you know what it's like to become the animal." 

I suggest you listen to this album. It's fantastic!

This album was released on April 10th, 2010. The first song on the album, "Love Bites (So Do I)" won a Grammy this year for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance and the last song on the album, "Here's To Us" was performed on the TV show Glee obviously minus the profanity (what fun is that?).

Before the album came out, they released the Hello, It's Mz. Hyde EP featuring 4 songs from The Strange Case Of... album: "Love Bites (So Do I)," "Rock Show," "Daughters of Darkness," and "Here's To Us."

My favourite songs on the album are:

ALL OF THEM!!!!!!! How can someone choose the best song off this album? All of them are sooooo good!

"I Miss the Misery" is a song that I find particularly funny because, being a teenager, I see kids who put themselves through miserable relationships for no good reasons and it really does seem like they only stay in the relationship because they enjoy the misery.

The lyrics to "American Boys" are laughable and amusing. Lzzy must not have thought about the fact that she is the only girl in the band and so the song seems a little odd. Nevertheless, an amazing song.

The song "Rock Show" is all about going to the rock show of your favourite performer, or seeing your very first rock show. This takes me way back to my first rock show, which was Jethro Tull, and he was performing Aqualung. Ever since I've seen so many different concerts I'll forget, but that one I'll remember forever.

The songs "Mz. Hyde" and "Daughters of Darkness" are so catchy and fun and danceable. Then there are the unforgettable slow songs... "Beautiful With You," "In Your Room," "Break In," and "Here's To Us," which, when you hear, you find irresistible to sing along to. "Break In" was performed as a solo, just Lzzy singing and playing the piano, and it was beautiful. In fact, it was beyond beautiful. Her voice is so fabulous and clear and it was such a treat to hear that.

This is one of my very favourite albums ever and I listen to it once or twice EVERY DAY.
