 Serj Tankian was born in Beirut, Lebanon, and he grew up in Los Angeles. He is also lead singer of the band System of a
Down. Serj Tankian writes music that can be classified as Indie Rock, Alternative, or Experimental.

Elect the Dead, Imperfect Harmonies, Harakiri, and Orca.

Serj Tankian excels in writing lyrics that are incredibly powerful and deep. 

He can write the  most amazing political protest songs, often influenced by the horror of his childhood in a war-torn Beirut and the genocide in Armenia, along with ridiculous actions Americans are taken to.
